A Uganda nanny named Jolly Tumuhiirwe, who was caught on camera for badly beating up an 18 months old baby named Arnella has finally spoken why she did she such an act.
She was charged with attempted murder and was to appear in court on December 8 2014. She said that her father was ill and dying and her mother had no money,when she asked her bosses to pay her they said that it has not reached a month yet and she had no choice. And that was why she took the anger all on their baby.
  Today she has being finally sentenced to 4 years imprisonment for assault on a child. She was sentenced in Kampala High court,she pleaded guilty because there was no point of lying because of the evidence.




She said she thought she was disciplining the child,and that the child did not bleed compared to when she was beaten up.She also said that her boss who is the mother of the child usually slaps the child when she misbehaves and that was why she felt she was disciplining the 18 months old baby.
 She claimed that she was beaten up after the video was found and she bled more compared to the baby. She also said that the torch she used in beating up wasn't even hard. However she has been sentenced to 4 years imprisonment.
