Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has dumped the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, stating that, he is no longer interested in being a member of the party. According to reports, Obasanjo also tore his PDP membership card but is yet to make public whether he intends to join another political party. Obasanjo has in recent months publicly criticised the party and President Goodluck Jonathan.
